Driving Directions

If you arrive by car, you can reach Wadi Rum from the King's Highway.  The turn off for Wadi Rum is  at 'Ar Rashidiyya'.  Follow the road to the Visitor's Centre, where you will pay the entrance fee for the Protected Area (currently 2JD per person).  Rum Village is a further short drive past the visitor's centre - when you arrive in the village, ask anyone where you will find Zedane and they will direct you.

By Public Transport

From Petra:

A bus leaves Wadi Musa daily at 6.30 am and will drop you in Rum Village.  This costs 5JD.  The same bus returns to Wadi Musa at 8.30 in the morning, should you wish to travel to Petra after your stay in Wadi Rum.

From Aqaba:

There are buses directly to Wadi Rum at  and 1.00 pm.

You can also take buses headed towards Ma'an or Amman and ask the driver to stop at the Ar Rashidiyya intersection for Wadi Rum.   Minibuses from Aqaba to the intersection cost 1-2JD.  At the intersection you can either hitch a lift or take a further minibus to the visitor's centre, which should cost 3-4JD.   At the visitor's centre, ask for Zedane.

 From Amman:

There are no direct buses to Wadi Rum from Amman, but you can take a bus or service taxi to the Wadi Rum intersection.  From there, follow the instructions above.

Zedane is also happy to arrange taxis to/from each of these locations for you - a price list guide is displayed above.
